Double-Triangel Nail Art

Today I played around a bit and did a double triangel nail art design in blue.

• Light Blue: Manhattan Lotus Effect Nail Polish 78c
• Glitter Blue: s.he stylezone nail polish 612/450 (an old one, this one is probably not available in stores anymore)
• Blue: kiko nail lacquer 521 Pearly Ocean
• nail art stripes: essence holo stripes nail art stickers
• Top Coat: catrice Quick Dry & High Shine Top Coat
• Dotting tool essence nail art DUO stylist and tranparent film

1. I started with the light blue and applied it to the whole nail.
2. After letting the light blue polish dry I applied 2 pieces of the tape from the middle top of my nail so that it looks like a triangle.
3. With the dotting tool I applied the darker blue on the "outside".
4. I applied the smaller triangel with 2 shorter pieces of the tape.
5. The space between the dark and the light blue I filled with the glitter (with the help of the dotting tool).
6. Finally I sealed the design with a top coat.

Aquarell Nägel

Hier nun endlich der versprochene Post zu meinen Aquarell Nägeln, den ich auf unserem Instagram Account angekündigt habe. Es war mein erster Versuch nachdem ich einmal ein Foto auf Pinterest gesehen habe.
Ich habe als Untergrund einen weißen Nagellack verwendet (ich hatte gerade nur den Nailart Stampy Polish von essence bei der Hand , mit dem funktioniert das aber auch sehr gut). Für die bunten Farben mit aqurarell-Effekt habe ich drei Farben gewählt: ein schönes türkis-grün Catrice Ultimate Nail Lacquer in "85 Can you sea me?", ein knalliges koralle Essence Colour & Go in "185 Candy Crush" und ein helles türkis Essence Colout & Go in "146 That's what I mint".
Der Clou ist es die Farben mit einem Nagellackverdünner zu vermischen (z.B. von artdeco). Am einfachsten ist es ein paar Tropfen Verdünner auf ein Stück Folie tropfen, daneben ein paar Tropfen Nagellack geben und vorsichtig mit einem ganz dünnen Pinsel vermischen bis eine leicht durchsichtige "aquarellige" Farbe herauskommt. Diese dann in einer Schicht über die getrocknete (!) weiße Grundierung geben. Dabei kann man seiner Kreativität freien Lauf lassen. Ich habe das untere Drittel des Nagels weiß gelassen und die Farben ineinander laufen lassen.
Nachdem alles gut getrocknet ist noch mit einem Klarlack versiegeln und fertig! :)

Aquarell Nails

Finally here's the post about my aquarell nails, as promised on our Instagram account.
It was my first attempt after seeing a pic on Pinterest.
As a base I used a white nail polish (I only had Essence Nailart Stampy Polish at hand but it works just as well as any other white nail polish). For the aquarellike colours I used the following three nail polishes: a turquoise-green Catrice Ultimate Nail Lacquer in "85 Can you sea me?", a bright coral Essence Colour & Go in "185 Candy Crush" and a light mint Essence Colout & Go in "146 That's what I mint".
The trick is to mix the colours with a nail polish thinner (e.g. artdeco). I find it easiest to put some drops of the thinner on a piece of foil and a few drops of nail polish next to it and then mix it carefully together with a thin brush until you get a slightly see-through "aquarell-like" colour. Then you can paint it on your previously dried (!) white base colour. I left the lower third in the white colour and let the three colours running into each other but you can do as you like. After everything is thoroughly dried, seal it with some clear polish and you're done :)

Nächste Woche werde ich nach Tirol fahren und da dachte ich mir, dass das die perfekte Gelegenheit ist die Festive Collection 02 von MoYou London auszuprobieren.

Erstes Problem, das ich hatte: Welche Farbkombi? Ich wollte nicht, dass es zu weihnachtlich aussieht (Weihnachten ist ja bekannterweise vorbei) deswegen hab ich auch nur einen Nagel in rot ausprobiert. (essie Leading Lady)


Das sind die Farben, die ich hauptsächlich verwendet habe:

• Grün: kiko nail lacquer 532 Pearly Amazon Green
• Plate: Festive Collection 02 von MoYou London.

Review Festive Plate from MoYou

Next week I am going to Tyrol and I thought this would be a great opportunity to try out the Festive Collection 02 from MoYou London.

First problem: Which colourcombi? I didn't want the design to look too christmassy so I only did one nail in red (essie Leading Lady)

Bericht Explorer Plate von MoYou

Am Wochenende hab ich endlich die Explorer Plate - 03 von MoYou London ausprobiert. Am Anfang war ich mir nicht ganz sicher ob ich schwarz auf gold oder weiß auf braun machen soll also hab ich einfach beides ausprobiert.

• Gold: s.he stylezone nail polish quick dry in Wow! Farben Nr. 320
• Braun: Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour 505 Particulière
• Schwarz und Weiß: essence nail art stampy polish
• Plate: MoYou London Explorer Plate 03

Ich bin immer recht ungeschickt wenn es um das Übertragen vom Stempel auf den Nagel geht. Ich hab mal ein cooles Video auf YouTube gefunden mit dem Trick wie es auch funktioniert. Außerdem kann man auf diese Weise auch ein buntes Muster auf den Nagel bekommen.

Und zwar überträgt man das Muster ganz normal auf den Stempel. Aber statt den Stempel auf den Nagel zu drücken bemalt man den Stempel direkt mit bunten Farben.

Dafür habe ich folgende Nagellack verwenden:

• essie Snap Happy
• kiko 391 Grass Green
• einen durchsichtigen Nagellack
• Außerdem benötigt ihr noch ein Dotting Tool. z.B. von Juliana Nails und eine Klarsichthülle

Und so gehts:

1. Muster auf den Stempel übertragen
2. Eine kleine Menge vom farbingen Nagellack auf die Klarsichtfolie geben
3. Mit dem Dotting Tool das Muster am Stempel anmalen - gut trocknen lassen
4. Klarlack darüber - gut trocknen lassen
5. Mit der dünnen Spitze vom Dotting Tool das Muster vorsichtig lösen und auf den Nagel pressen.
6. Die überstehenden Reste mit der Feile abfeilen bzw. abschneiden und mit dem Klarlack fixieren.

Und hier das Resultat. Auf dem Daumen hab ich ein schönes buntes Muster gemacht wie oben beschrieben. Im Endeffekt fand ich die gold-schwarz Kombi schöner und ansprechender als die braun-weiß Kombi.

Review Explorer Plate from MoYou

On Saturday I had finally time to try out the Explorer Plate - 03 from MoYou London. In the beginning I wasn't sure if I should do a gold-black or a brown-white comibination so I tried both. 

• Gold: s.he stylezone nail polish quick dry in Wow! Farben Nr. 320
• Brown: Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour 505 Particulière
• Black and White: essence nail art stampy polish
• Plate: MoYou London Explorer Plate 03

I am quite clumsy when it comes to transfering the pattern to the nail. Some time ago I found a really helpful video with an alternative methode. Furthermore with this methode you can bring more colour to your design. Instead of pressing the pattern directly from the stamp to your nail you paint the pattern directly on the stamp.

I used these: 

• essie Snap Happy
• kiko 391 Grass Green
• a normal top coat
• A dotting tool (for example from Juliana Nails) and a transparent film

How it works:

1. Get the pattern on the stamp
2. Give a little bit of the nail polish on the transparent film
3. Paint the colours with a dotting tool directly on the stamp - let it dry
4. Seal it with the top coat - let it dry
5. Remove the pattern CAREFULLY with the dotting tool and press the "sticker" to your nail.
6. Remove the leftovers with a nail scissor and file.

And here is the result. On my thumb I did the colourful pattern like described above. I have to say I think the gold-black combi is my favourite.

Bericht KIKO Make Up Milano Nagellack

Heute will ich euch gerne meinen Einkauf von KIKO Make Up Milano vorstellen. Ich war das erste Mal in dem Shop und ich muss sagen es war ein schönes Erlebnis. Ich mochte das allgemeine Shopdesign, die Anordnung und Darstellung der Artikel war sehr übersichtlich und schön arrangiert. Von jedem Produkt gab es eine Probe (ja das sollte die Regel in jedem Kosmetikgeschäft sein, ist es aber leider nicht...). Sie haben außerdem ein sehr vielfältiges Produktangebot und (überhaupt für mich sehr wichtig) SEHR SEHR VIELE Nagellack in sehr vielen unterschiedlichen Farben - von matt bis glitzernd ist alles vertreten was das Nagellackliebhaberherz begehrt. Und der Preis war ein Wahnsinn. Ein Nagellack hat nur € 2,90 gekostet, manche gabs sogar im Ausverkauf um nur € 1,90. Außerdem hab ich Nagelsticker für € 2,90 erstanden. Alles in allem ein sehr billiger und erfolgreicher Shopping Trip (und sicher nicht der letzte) :)

Diese Produkte hab ich gekauft:

• 391 Grass Green - ein mattes Grün
• 521 Pearly Ocean - ein schimmerndes Blau
• 532 Pearly Amazon Green - ein glitzerndes Grün

Grass Green und Pearly Amazon Green hatten schon nach dem ersten Auftragen eine sehr gute Deckkraft. Pearly Ocean musste ich zwar zweimal auftragen aber nach dem zweiten Mal ist es jetzt ein richtig schönes Blau. Alle drei Farben sind schnell getrocknet was ein echtes Plus ist, überhaupt da ich sehr ungeduldig bin. Ich möchte mich auch für die roten Nagellackreste auf der Haut entschuldigen. Ich hab den vorigen Nagellack sehr schlampig entfernt um die neuen Farben schnell auszuprobieren.

Review KIKO Make Up Milano nail lacquer

Today I am reviewing my purchase from KIKO Make Up Milano. It was my first visit to this shop but I have to say I had a great shopping expierence. I liked the shop concept overall. The display of the articles is really well organised. Samples are available for every product (should be the rule in every drugstore but isn't). They have a wide range of products and (especially important for me) A LOT, really A LOT of nail polishes in kind of every colour you can think of. And now I come to the price - REALLY LOW! A nail polish costs about € 2,90, some were on sale for € 1,90 (!) I also bought nail art stickers for only € 2,90. So it was a really cheap shopping trip (and certainly not the last) :)

Now to the products I chose:

• 391 Grass Green - a matte coat
• 521 Pearly Ocean - a glittering blue
• 532 Pearly Amazon Green - a highly glittering green

I only had to apply Grass Green and Pearly Amazon Green one time to get a good opacity. I had to apply Pearly Ocean twice - one time was not sufficient - but after two times it turned out to be a really nice and shiny blue. All three dried very quickly, which is a real plus for an impatient person like me. And sorry for the red leftovers on my cuticles - I removed the red in a hurry to try out the new colours.
